To Whom It May Concern – PENPALS, the successful trio from Brooklyn, has delivered some fresh hits to the hip-hop scene via their recently released 13-track project. MCs Cynic The Apache and Rapswell’s clever words match perfectly with producer Squire’s sick boom-bap beats. The two lyricists do a great job of blending reality on tracks like “Hi-Tech” and “So Real It’s Real,” with some more zany content on “My Goodness” and “Up To The Sky.” Cynic and Rapswell’s words balance the serious and the humorous to create truly resonant songs. The two MCs have a natural banter as a result of their long friendship which adds an organic vibe to the already dope tunes that Squire brings to the table. The trio’s talent is accentuated by the many collaborations on the album. One especially successful partnership was on PENPALS’s most recent single, “Up To The Sky,” which featured the stylings of renowned producer Quelle Chris.
