Future’s Version Of Rihanna’s ‘Nothing Is Promised’ Is Just As Swaggering And Dark As The Original

One of the standout tracks from Mike Will Made-It’s most recent album Ransom 2aside from “Perfect Pint” which brought together the holy triumvirate of Kendrick Lamar, Gucci Mane and Rae Sremmurd — was Rihanna’s contribution “Nothing Is Promised.” The track has an ominous vibe to it, that the Bad Girl really drives home with her matter-of-fact delivery.

Eagle-eyed observers noticed in the credits section that one of the song’s writers was none other than Future. Somehow or another, the Atlanta rapper’s reference version, or demo of the track leaked online yesterday, but rather than serve up a cease and desist notice and eliminate any trace of it in the online realm, Future decided to give the people what they want and shared his take on the song to his official Youtube page.

The most striking thing about Future’s take on “Nothing Is Promised” is that it sounds almost exactly the same as the one Rihanna ultimately contributed. The beat is slowed down a little bit, and the tone is just a tad darker, but the lyrics are all basically the same. In the end, Future only shows up on adlibs the sidelines for that particular song, he did ultimately link up with Rih in the studio for one of the best tracks from his HNDRXX album, the song “Selfish.”

You can check out Future’s version of “Nothing Is Promised” above and compare it to Rihanna’s take below.

John Mayer’s Response To Katy Perry Ranking Him As Her Best Sex Partner Was Kind Of Weird

John Mayer, who once compared having sex with Jessica Simpson to “sexual napalm,” must have also set off a few fireworks in the bedroom with one Katy Perry back when they were dating.

As you may recall, Perry was on a recent live-stream binge on YouTube when James Corden asked her to rank her exes Mayer, Orlando Bloom and Diplo in bed, asking, “From best to worst in bed, rank John Mayer, Diplo and Orlando Bloom.”

After a bit of cajoling and saying, “They’re all amazing lovers and I would have sex with all of them after I get out of this place!” Perry finally admitted that Mayer was tops, followed by Bloom then Diplo.

Diplo later responded to being ranked third with a couple of hilarious tweets…

And now, in a new interview with Rolling Stone where he discusses how he has how his life has improved, Mayer also addressed his ranking as Katy Perry’s former sex partner.

You were just in the tabloids because Katy Perry called you the “best lover” she’s ever had. Care to comment?

I don’t have a cool-enough thought for you. I’ve hacked this game. I pay very little of the price of fame now. I get to play the music that moves me the most. I’m having the time of my life. I’m 39 – I remember 32. I don’t wanna do it again.

I truly don’t know what any of that means, but I do know that Mayer wrote the song “Still Feel Like Your Man” with Perry in mind so maybe these two kids, who obviously have some serious chemistry should give it another shot.

Oh yeah, your turn now, Orlando. We’re waiting…

The Internet Is Having Fun Watching Texas Cops Try To Round Up Loose Pigs On The Highway

How has your Thursday morning been so far? Good? If you were anxiously awaiting the first reviews of the upcoming Spider-Man: Homecoming film, or the first trailer for the Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson-starring Jumanji: Welcoming to the Jungle, then “good” is probably an appropriate descriptor. If you were a member of the Texas Highway Patrol or any other state organization charged with cleaning up the aftermath of a semi truck crash on the I-45 highway just south of Dallas, however, the word “good” likely doesn’t apply. That’s because you just spent your morning trying to catch a bunch of loose pigs, which effectively shut down the road.

According to NBC 5 DFW, a section of highway near Wilmer, Texas was shut down at around 6:45 a.m. local time when the truck crashed and tipped onto its side. As a result, the pigs it was carrying spilled out into traffic and essentially took over the roadway until the relevant authorities arrived on the scene. No details about the crash itself, including what caused it or the driver’s condition, are known at this time. What is known, however, is that Twitter is rife with photos and videos of — and bad puns about — the loose pigs and the police’s many attempts to catch them.

It’s no llama chase, and probably won’t stir meat-eaters’ emotions like Okja will, but watching proto-bacon flee for their lives on a Texas highway is fun.

Dude Jumps Off The Dock And Wrestles A Live Shark While His Friends Go Nuts

    Instagram Photo

Was this a good idea? Definitely not. Did it all work out well in the end? I suppose, unless you’re the shark who will spend the rest of his life wondering just what in the fuck happened that day he got too close to the dock. Will this make for a great story for the rest of that dude’s life? Hell yes it will.

That shark was way too small to be considered lethal, but it still could’ve done some flesh damage with razor sharp teeth. Beyond that, it’s never cool to harass baby animals. Not that I’m advocating jumping in the water and wrestling a 6-foot shark, I’m just saying that it’s kind of fucked up to mess with baby animals in the name of showing off in front of your friends.

I came across this video after it was tweeted by @TFM, but the dude in the video is actually this guy, Alex Winn (@alexftwinn). It was filmed/geotagged at the Oyster Plant Park in Poulsbo, Washington, not too far across the bay from Seattle. It all kind of reminds me of this bro who jumped in the shark tank at the Atlantis Resort and Casino back on Spring Break. If you haven’t seen that yet, check it out.

Conor McGregor Wants To Fight Khabib In Russia After Taking On Floyd Mayweather

    USA TODAY Sports

Don’t listen to all the talking sports heads on TV who have been speculating on a Conor McGregor retirement after he takes home a $100 million plus paycheck from the Floyd Mayweather boxing match. All signs are pointing to the Irish lightweight champ continuing to fight, possibly as soon as New Years Eve.

Not only does McGregor have a time, but a place and a preferred opponent as well.

“You know what Conor told me? He said ‘I want Khabib in Russia,’” UFC president Dana White said in an interview with MMA Junkie. “Isn’t he f**king awesome? He’s like ‘I want Khabib, in Russia.’ He’s awesome. Conor McGregor is a f**king unicorn. There’s nothing like him. He’s working on boxing Floyd Mayweather and then he’s talking about fighting Khabib in Russia right after.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov is a rising star in the UFC and in Russia, one of the biggest hotbeds of mixed martial arts activity in the world. The lightweight fighter was set to face Tony Ferguson at UFC 209 in March for dibs on fighting McGregor, but a botched weight cut forced Nurmagomedov out at the last minute. Now it sounds like White is prepping to reset the fight, with McGregor on board to take on the winner.

“Those guys got to fight,” White said. “It would have seemed a lot worse if those two guys fought, and they were all sitting around waiting. It didn’t happen. That fight still needs to happen. So this thing could time out perfectly.”

Whether the UFC would go along with McGregor’s demand to hold the fight in Russia should Khabib win is unclear (the UFC has never held an event in the country before), but White obviously likes the enthusiasm Conor is showing. Especially in the face of growing resistance from other fighters in the promotion to just accept whatever the UFC tells them regarding opponents and dates and paychecks. That’s been a problem ever since the $4 billion dollar sale punched them in the face with how little they’re making.

Of course, that’s not an issue for Conor McGregor. Maybe the UFC would have an easier time finding unicorns if they waved around a little more unicorn money.

DMV’s Own Chase Royal Drops The Soulful Single Conquest

Woooowwweee! Shout out to Joe Hova with another great assist. DMV artist Chase Royale drops the soulful new video for Conquest. I was a fan of this song from the opening note, straight fire.

Every artist has a dream to take over the music industry. Many have tried in the past, few have achieved this goal. For the DMV’s Cha$e Royale, he’s ready to take the industry by force with his latest project. “Conquest” is the first video release from his “The Gemcutter’s Prism” mixtape with producer IAMXIII and features fellow DMV artist Ozzy. The two loaded up on ammunition for this record as every bar they spit has a purpose and hits a different part of your brain as a result of the flow.

‘Cash Me Ousside’ Girl Pleads Guilty To Grand Theft Auto, Marijuana Possession And More

    Instagram Photo

14:57, 14:58… Looks like the infamous “Cash Me Ousside” girl Danielle Bregoli Peskowitz is about to run out on her 15 minutes of fame. Washed up already and just 14-years-old.

First, that tour she had planned (with all the silly rider demands) was “postponed” until further notice, according to the Post, for some rather dubious reasons, none of which involve the fact that, you know, she has no actual talent.

“Due to an overwhelming response, we decided to look at larger venues and reschedule the events to better suit her growing audience as well as some significant professional developments. More information will be provided at a later date,” Bregoli’s representatives confirmed in a statement.

So far, they were unable to confirm when and where the new shows will take place.

That’s probably because they never will take place, but I’m just spitballing here.

    Instagram Photo

And now we can also throw in the fact that on Wednesday Bregoli entered “pleas inside a Delray Beach courthouse, according to NBC affiliate WPTV, on charges that included grand theft, filing a false police report and possession of marijuana.”

She was not sentenced today, however, Bregoli could also face charges for a different battery incident that occurred in Lake Worth, Florida.

    WPBF reports…

Danielle wore a fitted pink knee-length dress and her red-streaked hair down for the 8:30 AM hearing inside a Delray Beach juvenile court. She was joined by her mother Barbara Bregoli. However, the mom and daughter duo left the courtroom flanked by two large bodyguards who blocked them from reporters as they rushed to the nearest elevator.

The teen’s father, Ira Peskowitz was also in court asking the judge to restrict Danielle’s internet access. The judge denied Peskowitz’s request.

“My daughter is being exploited,” said Peskowitz after court. Tearfully expressing concerns that his daughter is being groomed for a career in pornography by adults who want to leverage her newfound celebrity.

The judge ordered Bregoli to return to court to deal with her guilty plea in a hearing set for July 20th.

Meanwhile, that internet access restriction that her father asked for? Yeah, it hasn’t happened yet…

    Instagram Photo

Oh well, at least she made some solid cash while it lasted. How long the cash will last is a whole other question.

Mallory Edens, Daughter Of The Bucks Owner, Wore A Bra For A Top To The NBA Awards, As One Does

    mallory edens nba awards pics

    Getty Image

Mallory Edens, the daughter of Milwaukee Bucks owner Wesley Edens, is quickly becoming a superstar in her own right. From dropping clever tweets trying to recruit Kristaps Porzingis to Milwaukee to owning Bill Simmons on Twitter to slaying it at the NBA Draft back in 2014, she’s rapidly becoming one of our favorite celebrity offspring.

Mix in the fact that Mallory and her sister Madison Edens seem to spend most of their lives in bikinis and you’ve got quite a budding internet sensation on your hands.

Heck, if I was a young, single NBA free agent I would probably want to go play for the Bucks just on the off-chance that I might get to hang out with her. Honestly, I can’t believe that Chandler Parsons isn’t playing for Milwaukee at this point. Especially after getting a load of what she wore to the NBA Awards the other day.

Now where have I seen someone wearing an outfit like this before? Where, oh where? Oh yes, now I remember…
