OVO Sound has long been a treasure trove of Drake music but Drizzy and his crew may have outdone themselves with the latest installment after they unleashed a track that just might be the banger of the summer. The new track appears to be a part of whatever Metro Boomin has planned for this summer, and he couldn’t have tapped into the market any better by tossing Drake and Offset onto one of his thumping productions for “No Complaints.”
Metro let loose that he had something on the way last night when he posted the artwork for the track on Instagram with the warning “tomorrow night #haterswillsayitsphotoshop.”
He was probably right, as the combination would have sounded too good to be true, but Metro kept his promise with the new song. Offset handles most of the heavy lifting, offering a verse and a hook and doing his normal scene-stealing thing, even next to a star with the oversized gravitational pull of Drake.
Still, Drake does his damnedest to match his counterpart, riding the beat with ease and fitting in right next to the Migos rapper. Drake approaches the track a little different than Offset, with a stuttering flow that clashes perfectly with Offset’s jibber jabber approach. Whatever Metro has cooking up this was as good a start as he could hope for, and now we just wait for whatever other superstar mixes he’s waiting to unleash this summer.
In terms of some of the wilder things Eminem has done throughout his career, you’d think growing out some facial hair would rate pretty low on the list. I mean, this is a guy who once wrote a whole song about killing his wife and disposing her dead body with his daughter. And who among us could ever forget that weird feud with Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. Based on the reaction from social media however, you would be wrong.
Folks couldn’t believe that Em, after all these years, would finally decide to grow out the hair on his face. The dude just popped up at the premiere of an upcoming HBO documentary series about the relationship between Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine called The Defiant Ones, and casually debuted his new look like it was nothing. Let me tell you, it was not nothing to all the Stans out there.
Some people took it as a sign that whatever album he’s going to put out next is going to be a surefire masterpiece.
Others simply wanted to clown the ever-loving hell out of him.
One person noted that Em called this shot all the way back in 2002.
I personally love the beard-truthers out there.

Clocking in at just under 9 minutes, “Pulsar” never drops in and supplies no drums but rather a spacey, lush groove to vibe along with. Hailing from Switzerland, Phillip has been producing music since 2013 and has released two full-length projects Orbit To Nowhere and A Light From The Past. Drawing inspiration from artists such as Massive Attack and Stellardome, Phillip is guaranteed to add his own spin things when it comes to production.

Even LeBron James says he knows what it’s like to feel shade thrown his way on draft night. The Cavaliers superstar had an interesting message for anyone who felt maligned one way or another on Thursday night at Barclays Center, posting to Instagram with a message for those who felt slighted by their draft position or lack of selection.
LeBron posted a semi-famous local news roundup of Cavaliers players talking about a young James before he ever played a game for the Cavaliers.
The rub here is at the time the Cavs were the worst team in the league. Bad enough to win the lottery and get the rights to James in the first place. But none of his future teammates seemed all that excited to have James joining the squad when asked by the media about the impending arrival of the high school superstar.
Poor Carlos Boozer has to wear the L hard here with his skeptical face used as the preview image of the video LeBron posted as he remembered his own draft experience back in 2003.
So just imagine how hard is to fight off the naysayers, doubters, haters that u never see but u know they talking crazy behind tv screens, computers, phones, tablets. Then imagine fighting off naysayers, doubters, haters that u would think have your back and u see them everyday! Keep the grass cut, so u can see em when they coming. Then u heat they ass up. Cause they cats that u went to play with, will catch you in your new whip and your brains into cool-whip(Kiss said it best)! So basically no matter what u do just keep the blinders on at all times, work hard, push forward and I promise you’ll have the last
It really is amazing to see how little emotion the Cavaliers have about LeBron. Even with all the hype, he was an unproven high school player in the eyes of those pros. It doesn’t seem to be something James forgot about, and if that kind of motivation works for him I’m sure many other young NBA players are thinking the same way.
Halsey is a pop star on the make, as her excellent new album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom so clearly illustrates, and as such she’s been on a press junket, doing interviews and talking about her newfound place at the top of the music industry. After all, she was the first woman in 2017 to score a No. 1 album on the Billboard chart, and she’s currently touring the record, which will only boost her status even more.
In an interview with The Guardian, though, she shifted gears a bit to address two other artists — Quavo, who appears on her record, and Iggy Azalea, who she thinks is an idiot. A “f*cking moron” to be exact.
First, the Quavo thing. We’ve already been over Migos’ struggle to be open to the queer community, and whether or not they are actually homophobic, the group has struggled with that perception a lot this year.
As someone who identifies as bisexual, The Guardian interviewer wanted Halsey’s perspective on working with Quavo. Her thoughts:
“I think he’s misunderstood. Just because I choose to be a socially conscious artist, and I’m pretty good at it, that doesn’t mean every artist is going to be equipped to be politically correct. I don’t think he’s inherently homophobic, I think he’s in a tough place of trying to explain what he means. I agree his apology was bullshit but I can’t police everybody.”
But this wasn’t enough for the interviewer, who suggested she should carry over her policing into her own album. Halsey, for her part, agreed, and that’s when she went in on the failures of Iggy Azalea:
“Yes, I can, and there’s a lot of people I wouldn’t put on my record. Iggy Azalea: Absolutely not. She had a complete disregard for black culture. F*cking moron. I watched her career dissolve and it fascinated me.”
Halsey is also bi-racial, her father is Black, so she definitely has a different perspective on this, and honestly, at this point, most people probably agree with that assessment. For her part, Halsey has not really incorporated a lot of hip-hop sounds into her work, though given the textures and variety of Hopeless Fountain Kingdom, she certainly might in the future. But not with Iggy, apparently.
Charlotte, North Carolina artist and producer Ceezy jumps on Playboi Carti’s smash hit “Magnolia” and deliveries some amazing bars.
Lonzo Ball really wants to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, but in the days leading up to the draft he tried his hardest not to address the team in interviews with the press. Ball was interviewed by a pair of outlets in the lead up to Thursday’s NBA Draft
That might be because his father has addressed his desire to see his sons — all three of them — play for the Lakers. Or maybe it’s because no one is sure if the Lakers are sold on Lonzo Ball just yet.
Ball wouldn’t talk about the Lakers directly in an interview with USA Today earlier this week, though he did reveal how much it would mean for him to get taken by his “hometown” team.
“The Lakers have a plan,” he said. “We’ll see what it is.”
Instead of saying Lakers, he called them the home team, but in a few moments of unguarded honesty, he made clear he would love to play for the famous local team.
“To able to put that jersey on and play for that team …,” Ball said.
He admitted he has attended only one Lakers game. It was four years ago, and it was against the Los Angeles Clippers, who were the home team. Asked why he didn’t attend any during this freshman season at UCLA, Ball said, “I was just in the gym working out at UCLA. I felt like that was more important.”
Though Ball is certainly the favorite to be taken by the Lakers, it’s said the team was undecided on what to do with the second overall pick even hours before the start of the draft.
Ball also gave an interview where he told Sports Illustrated he would be a have been a rapper if basketball wasn’t in his life.
“I’d be a rapper,” Ball said when asked what he would do for a living if he didn’t play basketball. “I got a lot of tracks, I just ain’t dropped them yet, to be honest.”
Ball said he writes music when he’s bored.
“I got a close friend who raps. The only remix we did was the one we put out, to be honest. All of the rest of them are original. I write when I get bored, when I have nothing to do.”
With the amount of down time that comes with playing in the NBA Big Baller Brand might expand into an entertainment company soon enough.
People are endlessly entranced with snipers who take out ISIS fighters. A number 2016 feats included the British Special Forces sniper who killed five men with only three bullets. Then the Islamic State was terrorized by a secret sniper who began to make headlines by taking out high-ranking members while they left mosques and hospitals. Yet another sniper interrupted an ISIS decapitation class by shooting the instructor. All has remained relatively quiet on the sniper front as of late, but now, the mightiest one of all has arrived. A Canadian sniper has broken the world record by taking out an ISIS militant with a two-mile kill shot.
Previously, the 2009 record was held by British Special Forces sniper Craig Harrison, who successfully killed a Taliban gunner from about 1.5 miles away. Canada’s Globe and Mail threw down news of the newest accomplishment that has been confirmed by military sources who mention video footage as well as data that verifies the shot’s distance:
“Hard data on this. It isn’t an opinion. It isn’t an approximation. There is a second location with eyes on with all the right equipment to capture exactly what the shot was,” another military source said.
A military insider told The Globe: “This is an incredible feat. It is a world record that might never be equalled.”
The shot in question reportedly took less than 10 seconds to travel those two miles and strike the intended target. Further details reveal that the operation was planned to interrupt an Islamic State attack on security forces in Iraq. And as most folks realize, the use of a sniper is a precise method that can strike ISIS fighters without warning and with very little threat of civilian casualties (obviously unlike using a bomb or boots-on-the-ground operations).
This Canadian sniper, who hasn’t yet been identified because of the classified nature of the mission and his elite organization, has effectively blown the British snipers’ previous records away. The U.S. sniper record is currently held by Sergeant Bryan Kremer, who pulled off a kill shot of 1.43 miles in 2004.

Amazon sells pretty much everything under the sun. From hot sauces to nutritional supplements to watches. Amazon is even ready to provide a grocery delivery service after purchasing Whole Foods for $13.7 billion. Amazon offers Adidas and Under Armour, but Nike has not been offered on Amazon, but that is about to change.
In the past, Nike has only sold their shoes and sportswear on their website and to department stores and specialty retailers. They have declined to sell their products Amazon all this time, but they are not able to resist the huge potential for sales that the online behemoth offers. A Goldman Sachs report that was released on Wednesday stated that Nike is “close to commencing a direct relationship selling product on Amazon.com.”
The agreement will have Nike provide product directly to Amazon and in return Amazon will police and prohibit counterfeit and third-party sales of Nike products. Amazon has been gearing up for this significant partnership by cracking down on counterfeit product and the proliferation of unauthorized third-party sales on the site already. Amazon already began notifying third-party sellers that they have until July 13 to stop selling certain Nike products.
What’s not known is what Nike products will be available on Amazon. Zappos, which is owned by Amazon, doesn’t sell premium Nike brands such Jordan, Air Max or Nike signature basketball products. Experts believe that premium Nike products will not be offered on Amazon, to give other retailers that Nike has a relationship to survive. Sports apparel retailers such as Dicks Sporting Goods, Footlocker, Finish Line, Hibbett Sports all saw their stocks drop on Thursday.
Nike is enchanted by Amazon more than ever since sales in North America have been stagnate, and this month they were forced to cut 1,400 jobs, or about 2 percent of its workforce. Plus traffic to brick-and-morter retail locations are on declining at a worrying pace.
Nearly three-quarters of Nike’s sales, or $22.6 billion, came from wholesale partnerships for the year ending in May of 2016. On Tuesday, Amazon launched Prime Wardrobe, a service that allows customers to try on apparel at home before deciding on a purchase.
Former Dallas Cowboys quarterback Troy Aikman got engaged earlier in June to his girlfriend Capa Mooty, who I can literally find zero information about other than she has two sons from a previous relationship. That’s the happy couple on their special day in the photo above. I guess, what with them getting engaged and all, Aikman and Mooty decided to celebrate their impending nuptials with a little trip to the Caribbean. Looks like they’re having a good time too.
So, how jacked is Aikman for a 50-year-old announcer slash ex-NFL QB? Dude has obviously been putting in work.
Meanwhile, here’s reigning Super Bowl MVP Tom Brady over in Japan on Wednesday.
It’s almost like they’re twins or something.
This will be Aikman’s second marriage, by the way. He was previously hitched to former Dallas Cowboys publicist Rhonda Worthey from 2000 and 2011 and had two daughters with her.
Looks like they’ve got a bit of a Brady Bunch thing going on now…
I’m telling you, bro looks like he could still play…
Then again, if you’re him, why bother?
